Hello friends! I have been following the color throwdown challenge for a while now and each week I tell myself I am going to participate. Well the week comes and goes and I never do. Until now!
The colors for the challenge this week are cranberry, dark teal, peach, and kraft. For more details here is a link to their blog: Color Throwdown Blog. I have been dying to use this stamp set and die set, but just haven’t had any inspiration. This is another reason why I wanted to do the color throwdown challenge, because it challenges me. I use colors I may not pair together and it forces me to get out my various stamp sets that I haven’t touched.
I look forward to this weekly challenge so stay tuned!! Below is the link to the video that shows me creating this card. There you will find a link to all the products used.
Color Throwdown #416
Welcome to day 9 of my fall card series! Today I used this beautiful stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps called Country Wreath. It has a ton of stamps and allows you to create a variety of wreaths or floral images.
Today I used just the wreath and bow with a few of the stamps in the set. I also used a majority of Memento inks and a couple Hero Arts inks. The Memento Inks inks that come in the dewdrop shape (instead of the regular ink pad) are great for stamping small images. I also have a great variety of colors too!
After making this card I realized this would be a beautiful Christmas card if you changed the patterned paper to something more with Christmas colors. To see the process video, click link below. There you will find all the supplies used as well. Stay tuned as we wrap up this series this week and move on to my holiday series. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello you guys! Welcome to day 8 in my fall card series. We are nearing the end and even though I previously did a card with a scarecrow, I could not pass up using adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set. Instead of using my go to with my Zig markers or Distress Inks, I busted out some Prismacolors I just recently purchased. They happened to be on a pile of junk at Wal-Mart in the craft section with a big yellow sticker marking them at $10.00 for a 24 count. I couldn’t pass them up as I have been eyeing them for a while.
I colored all my images with the Prismacolors and blended using Gamsol Mineral Spirits. I am in love!! The pencils are already so creamy and blending with the Gamsol was so easy and smooth. I definitely like this alternative when I don’t want to use watercolors or my Zig Markers. One day I will get Copics, but until then these are the next best thing in my opinion and much more cost effective!

Welcome to day 7 of my fall series! Today I used Taylored Expressions Bushel of Blessings stamp set. I love Taylored Expressions stamps. They are red rubber and stamp so nicely.
I brought out my water colors again for this card because, well, I am addicted. I used my Distress Inks as water colors. If I had it to do over I would not have so much white space, but overall I am happy with the result. I was stumped on how to use this stamp and I knew I wanted to incorporate some patterned paper. I used Pebbles Woodland Forest Patterned Paper. The pattern paper I chose has a subtle leaf design.
The enamel dots were part of a previous Hero Arts card kit, but any fall color would work. The twine really finishes off the card. I purchased it from Hobby Lobby and it has gold sparkle in it which you can see in the last picture below.
To check out the process video showing how I made the card, here is the link: Bushel of Blessings. There you will find links to the supplies I used in the description box. Stay tuned for day 8 coming soon!
Welcome to day 6 of my fall card series. Today I used Lawn Fawns adorable Thanks a Bushel stamp set and coordinating die. I paired it with Pebbles Woodland Forest which has some adorable patterned paper.
To color the apples I used my Zig Clean Color Markers on some Bristol Smooth Card Stock. I finished off the card with some natural twine and glossy accents on the apple next to the sentiment. Cute and simple!

Welcome to day 5 in my fall card series. Today I wanted to do more water coloring and I just love the way the colors turned out. I used Distress Inks in the color Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, Mowed Lawn, Ripe Persimmon, and Walnut Stain for the splatter. I’m really enjoying the Canson XL Water Color Paper as I have only used it a couple other times. It is amazing how much easier things are to work with when you have the right supplies.
I heat embossed the leaf images from the MFT Geometric Greenery Stamp Set with white embossing powder. It really pops with the fall colors. I popped up my “thanks” sentiment on some fun foam to add some dimension. The SSS Antique Gold Embossing Powder is just beautiful and adds a special touch to my sentiment.

Fall Series Day 5
I was so excited to bust out this stamp set. Fall is my favorite time of year and nothing says fall like scarecrows and pumpkins! This is a great stamp set from My Favorite Things called Fall Friends.
To create the watercolor look I used Distress Inks which are my go to for anything watercolor. The inks are so versatile!! I did some sloppy water coloring which is becoming my new obsession. It is so freeing and seems to always turn out a lot better than if I was careful and stayed in the lines.
Below are some close-ups of the card. If you want to see the card come together in action, click this link to watch the video: Fall Friends
The fence die is actually a Halloween fence die from MFT. I think it works great on this card! I love the fact that is is a little wonky and crooked in some places.
Love the shine the embossing powder gives to the images adding a little character.
I rarely do the inside of my cards, but really would like to start adding that extra touch. I had an extra sunflower that I adhered in the corner of the inside of the card.
Oh how I love this stamp set! Layering stamps seem to be all the rage. Are they? I don’t think I have been involved in the card making hobby long enough to know what has come and gone and what is new. Either way, I’m a sucker for a layering stamp set!
This stamp set is called, Cozy Christmas, but I thought it went well with my fall series. By the evidence in my yard, this is more of a fall themed stamp set.
This stamp set was released last month in celebration of STAMPtember over at Simon Says Stamp. It was in collaboration with Concord & 9th. At the time you purchased the stamp set, it came with the die as a set. It appears though that the stamp set is available for purchase, but the set that includes the die is not. Whether you have the die or not you can create some stunning cards with this stamp set!
I really haven’t played much with vellum, but decided this card needed it and it turned out great! I’m still in love with that antique gold embossing powder.

Welcome to day 2 in my fall series! Today I used this great stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. called Bountiful Owl. I checked Unity Stamp Co.’s website before posting this and this stamp is currently on sale for $14.99 and includes 14 stamps! Anyway I think it is adorable and great for fall!
I paired my stamp with Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid Paper and used my Zig markers to color in the owl. I used Wild Honey Distress Ink to blend in the circle around the die. I am in love with that color! Even though the stamp set comes with wonderful sentiments, I kept it simple with, “Happy Thanksgiving.”
