Love From Lizi Summer Blog Hop

Hey guys!  Welcome to the Love From Lizi summer blog hop.  The theme was fittingly summer, so I finally had a chance to pull out the beautiful Tropical Summer Mega Pack, which you can find HERE!

Here is my first card:

For this card I used the patterned paper that comes in the mega pack and fussy cut out the flamingo and floral images.  I used card stock from my stash to create my card base and my sentiment piece.

If you take a closer look you can see some gold glitter paper peeking out from the card panel and the sentiment.  I topped the card off with a sentiment from my stash and Sugared Almond Nuvo Drops.

I love this mega pack so much that I had to make a second card!

The mega pack comes with a great selection of dies, so I had to use the pineapple, sunglasses, and cocktail drink.  Once I die cut the images, I used Distress Ink to add some color.  For the pineapples I used Pine Needles, Twisted Citron for the top and Wild Honey with a little Rusty Hinge for the bottom.  The ink I used for the cocktail is Abandoned Coral, Twisted Citron, and a little Wild Honey.  For the base of the drink I used Stormy Sky.

The patterned and the glitter paper are both from the mega pack.  I used a HELLO die from my stash to create my sentiment.  It seemed to get lost in the pattern paper, so I decided to use some black card stock to create a “shadow.”  I of course had to add more sparkle and topped my cocktail and pineapple tops with some Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Overlay Pen.
